My horticultural journey began over 20 years ago as a manager and supervisor at a plant nursery for a conservation project. I was captivated by the growing process—it brought excitement, diverse challenges, and an incredible variety of work.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working in various environments, each offering unique plant-related experiences. One of the most rewarding roles was teaching horticultural skills to people with disabilities, helping to create pathways for employment. It was a two-way learning experience, as I discovered incredible individuals with unique abilities and needs within a dynamic working environment.

Through my diverse roles in the horticultural field, I’ve gained a broad perspective on gardening. I’ve been fortunate to learn from remarkable industry leaders who generously shared their expertise. Together with my own experiences, these lessons have profoundly shaped my growth and passion for horticulture.
